With the global events of the last two years and the collective trauma of a global pandemic, the conversation around burnout in the workplace has reached a fever pitch.
In this episode, we welcome Karma Hill, positive psychology and leadership coach to share her wisdom on burnout and how activating self-compassion is one of the tools we can use to support our wellness in this area.
Karma vulnerably shares her personal story of overcoming burnout and the lessons she’s learned from that experience that inform her passion for coaching and educating others on the topic.
Specifically, Karma enlightens us on symptoms of burnout, educates us on the three core elements of burnout that separate it from other mental health conditions like depression, and provides her insights on what organizations can do to mitigate the damages of burnout on their employees.
Lastly, Karma educates us on self-compassion as a wellness practice. She shares the three core components of self-compassion, and provides simple tools and activities to increase self-awareness and create a more positive inner script.

Karma Hill is an ICF accredited Positive Psychology & Leadership Coach, the founder of Konversations with Karma and a board member of ICF Georgia. She received her M.S. in Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology from Life University and her Integrative Wellness & Life Coaching certification from Integrative Wellness Academy. Karma was listed on Yahoo Finance’s Top 10 Life Coaches To Look Out For In 2021. Karma helps women in leadership prevent burnout and emotional exhaustion by making themselves a priority so they can increase their impact in the world. She believes well-being and success all start with prioritizing self-care.
